Prepare the Figs: Start by rinsing the figs under cold running water to clean them thoroughly. Remove the stems, then cut each fig into quarters. Place the quartered figs in a large mixing bowl to gather the other ingredients.

    Combine Ingredients: In the bowl with the figs, add the granulated sugar, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and water. For those who enjoy a slight spice, sprinkle in the ground cinnamon at this stage to elevate the flavor profile.
