Ingredients

For the Pulled Pork:

2 lbs pork shoulder (or pork butt), trimmed of excess fat

1 cup BBQ sauce (select your favorite flavor)

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a spicy kick)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1/2 cup chicken broth (or water for a lighter option)

For the Slaw:

2 cups green cabbage, finely shredded

1 cup red cabbage, finely shredded

1 cup carrot, shredded

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon honey

Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Sliders:

12 slider buns

Additional BBQ sauce for serving (optional)

Pickle slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Pulled Pork:

    - In a small bowl, create a spice rub by combining smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Generously rub this mixture all over the pork shoulder, making sure to coat it evenly.

      - Place the seasoned pork into a slow cooker. Pour in the chicken broth and BBQ sauce, making sure to cover the pork thoroughly.

        - Cover the slow cooker and cook the pork on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 4 to 6 hours, until the meat is tender and can easily be shredded with a fork.

          Make the Slaw:

            - In a large bowl, mix together the finely shredded green cabbage, red cabbage, and shredded carrot.

              - In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, and a pinch of salt and pepper until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

                - Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture. Toss well to coat all the vegetables evenly. For best flavor, cover and refrigerate until you're ready to serve.

                  Assemble the Sliders:

                    - Once the pulled pork is finished cooking, shred the meat directly in the slow cooker using two forks, mixing it with the remaining juices and BBQ sauce for added flavor.

                      - Slice each slider bun in half and place a generous portion of pulled pork on the bottom half of each bun.

                        - Top the pulled pork with a spoonful of the slaw and, if you like, add a slice of pickle for extra crunch. Place the top half of the bun over the slaw.

                          Serve:

                            - Carefully arrange the assembled sliders on a large serving platter. Serve immediately with additional BBQ sauce on the side for dipping, if desired. Enjoy your flavorful Quick BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders with Slaw!
