2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

8 oz cream cheese, brought to room temperature

1 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)

2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 cup strawberry jam or preserves

1 additional cup whipped topping, for finishing

Firmly press this mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish to create a solid and even crust. Refrigerate for about 10 minutes to allow it to firm up.
