1 cup fresh basil leaves, tightly packed

1 frozen banana

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (juice from about half a lime)

1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger (optional for a spicy kick)

Ice cubes (optional, for a chilled smoothie)

Prepare the Ingredients: Begin by peeling and dicing the ripe mango, selecting one that gives slightly to pressure for optimum sweetness. If you don’t already have frozen bananas, simply peel and slice a banana, then freeze it for at least a couple of hours prior to blending.

    Blend the Ingredients: In your blender, combine the diced mango, packed fresh basil leaves, frozen banana, coconut milk, honey or maple syrup, fresh lime juice, and grated ginger (if desired).

      Adjust Consistency: Blend all the ingredients on high speed until you achieve a smooth, creamy texture. If the smoothie seems too thick for your liking, gradually add more coconut milk or water, blending after each addition until well combined. For an extra refreshing drink, toss in a handful of ice cubes and blend until finely crushed.
