1 cup Medjool dates, pitted and chopped

1 cup raw almonds (or any nut of your choice, such as cashews or walnuts)

¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

A pinch of sea salt to enhance flavor

1 cup shredded unsweetened coconut, divided

2 tablespoons chia seeds (optional, for added nutrition and crunch)

2 to 4 tablespoons water (as needed for consistency)

Prepare the Nuts: In a food processor, add the raw almonds. Pulse them for about 10-15 seconds until they are finely chopped but be careful not to over-process them into almond butter; you want a crumbly texture for the base.

    Blend the Dates: Next, add the pitted and chopped Medjool dates, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt into the food processor. Blend this mixture until it becomes sticky and starts to clump together. If the mixture feels too dry, gradually add a tablespoon of water at a time until you reach a desirable sticky consistency.

      Incorporate Coconut: Once you have a well-combined mixture, add the chia seeds (if using) and half of the shredded coconut to the food processor. Pulse again until all ingredients are evenly mixed throughout.

        Shape the Bliss Balls: With clean hands, take about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form a ball shape. Continue this process until all the mixture is shaped into delicious bliss balls.

          Coat in Coconut: Roll each bliss ball in the remaining shredded unsweetened coconut until they are fully coated. This step not only adds flavor but also gives them an appealing texture.
