Ingredients

4 ears of fresh corn, husked

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, finely minced

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley (for garnish)

Optional: 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes for an extra spicy kick

Instructions

Prepare the Corn: In a large pot, bring water seasoned with salt to a rolling boil. Carefully add the husked corn and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until tender. Once done, remove the corn from the pot and let it cool slightly on a plate. Alternatively, for a smoky flavor, grill the corn over medium heat for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until charred.

Make the Garlic Butter: In a small mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and minced garlic. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir thoroughly to ensure the garlic is well integrated into the butter mixture.

Coat the Corn: Once the corn is cool enough to handle, take a pastry brush and generously coat each ear of corn with the prepared garlic butter mixture, making sure every inch is covered.

Add Cheese: Evenly sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the buttered corn. To help the cheese adhere better, gently press it down onto the buttered corn using your fingers or the back of the spoon.

Garnish: Finish by sprinkling the chopped fresh parsley over the corn to add a burst of color and enhance the overall flavor.

Serve: Serve your Garlic Parmesan Corn on the Cob while it's still warm to fully enjoy the melty cheese and fragrant garlic. This dish makes an excellent side for summer barbeques or outdoor gatherings!
