2 cups fresh broccoli florets, steamed until tender and chopped

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 cup whole milk

4 large eggs

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)

1/4 cup onion, diced (optional)

1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing onion)

Preheat the oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the optimal temperature for baking.

    Prepare the broccoli: If not already done, steam your broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes until they are vibrant green and slightly tender. Once steamed, chop them into small pieces and set aside.

      Sauté the onion (if using): In a small skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and translucent, approximately 5 minutes. Once cooked, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

        Combine the filling: In a large mixing bowl, use a whisk to blend together the eggs, whole milk, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme (if including). Mix until the ingredients are smooth and well incorporated.
