Ingredients

8 oz. elbow macaroni (or pasta of your choice)

1 cup diced salami

1 cup diced pepperoni

1 cup diced prosciutto

1 cup sliced black olives

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup ricotta cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cups marinara sauce

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures that the oven is hot enough to finish baking your pasta bake to perfection.

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring a generous amount of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook according to the package instructions until al dente, which usually takes about 7-8 minutes. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.

Prepare the Filling: In a spacious mixing bowl, combine the drained pasta with the diced salami, diced pepperoni, diced prosciutto, sliced black olives, halved cherry tomatoes, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Use a spatula to gently stir everything together until well mixed.

Mix the Cheeses: In a separate bowl, blend the ricotta cheese with half of the shredded mozzarella and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Once combined, gently fold this cheese mixture into the pasta and meat mixture, ensuring everything is evenly distributed.

Add the Sauce: Pour the marinara sauce into the pasta mixture, and carefully mix it in until all ingredients are well-coated with sauce.

Transfer to Baking Dish: Lightly grease a 9x13 inch (or a similar-sized) baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil. Pour the pasta mixture into the dish and spread it out evenly to ensure even baking.

Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella, cheddar, and the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the pasta mixture, creating a cheesy layer that will melt beautifully.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 25-30 minutes. You’re looking for the cheese to become bubbling and golden brown on the top.

Garnish and Serve: After baking, let the pasta bake rest for about 5 minutes to cool slightly. Just before serving, garnish with fresh basil leaves for an added touch of flavor and color. Enjoy your delightful cheesy charcuterie pasta bake!
