Ingredients

12 oz penne pasta

1 cup sliced salami

1 cup sliced pepperoni

1 cup diced ham

1 cup grape tomatoes, halved

1/2 cup black and/or green olives, sliced

1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

2 cups marinara sauce

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a spicy kick)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Olive oil for drizzling

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it's ready for baking.

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Once boiling, add the penne pasta and cook according to the package instructions until it's al dente, firm to the bite. Drain the pasta and set it aside to cool slightly.

Prepare the Meats: In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced salami, pepperoni, and diced ham. To this mixture, add the halved grape tomatoes and sliced olives, stirring gently to incorporate the ingredients.

Mix the Ingredients: Once the cooked pasta has cooled a bit, add it to the bowl with the meats and vegetables. Pour in the marinara sauce, followed by the Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper to taste. Gently mix the ingredients until they are well combined and evenly coated with the sauce.

Assemble the Bake: Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with a bit of olive oil or cooking spray. Pour the pasta mixture into the dish, spreading it out evenly. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheeses generously over the top.

Drizzle with Olive Oil: To enhance browning and flavor, lightly drizzle some olive oil over the cheese fondue layer.

Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melty, bubbly, and golden brown on top.

Garnish and Serve: Remove the pasta bake from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes to set. Just before serving, garnish it with fresh basil leaves, adding a vibrant touch and fresh aroma.

Enjoy: Serve the pasta bake warm for a comforting meal that combines the flavors of a charcuterie board in every mouthful!
