1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup vegetable or chicken broth

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

1 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped (reserve some for garnish)

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (reserve some for garnish)

Crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)

Cook the Pasta: In a large skillet or pot, bring water to a rolling boil. Add a generous pinch of salt and the pasta of your choice. Cook according to package instructions until al dente. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside.
