2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (preferably rotisserie for added flavor)

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup basil pesto (homemade or high-quality store-bought)

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for serving

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to the package instructions until it reaches al dente perfection. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set it aside, reserving a small cup of pasta water in case you need to loosen the sauce later.

    Prepare the Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
